s = 3w
w = 1/3s

trey mixed 1/2 (or 0.5) teaspoons salt with 1 1/2 (or 1.5) cups water
0.5s = 1.5w
s = 1.5/0.5w
s = 3w
w = 1/3s

the reason why the salt mixtures taste the same is because they are both using the same ratio of salt to water

and u have 2 equations : s = 3w and w = 1/3s
